At Simon’s Memorial, we consider everyone who visits our church as a special guest and welcome the opportunity to worship, share, and grow together with them.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, and being baptized in water.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.
We believe that baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.
"Search me, O God, and know my heart:try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting." - Psalms 139: 23 & 24
OUR HISTORY
In the year of our Lord 1935, there was not a “Holiness” church in the old section of Silsbee, Texas. This led a group of women to join together and start having church in the Masonic Hall on First Street. By the grace of God and the tireless work of this small group of saints, they raised enough money to buy a small lot and later construct a one-room building on 530 North 1st Street Silsbee, TX. In addition, this small group of believers decided to officially name the church Saint Chapel Church of God in Christ (COGIC).
Committed to making a difference
With a vision for family and community, the Simon’s Memorial Ministry is committed to making a difference. We invite you to worship with us as often as possible in a spirit-filled worship setting where God's word is proclaimed as the answer for a world in need.
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before his presence with singing. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into this courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
-Psalm 100:1-5
On behalf of the Simon’s Memorial Church of God in Christ family, First Lady Audrea Gilbert and I are honored to extend to guests and friends a very special welcome to Simon’s Memorial COGIC.

At Simon’s Memorial we are:
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
I thank God that he has allowed me another year to work in his kingdom and fulfill the scripture that says, "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." John 9:4
I am yet excited about working for God enhancing the ministries in the church and encouraging God's people that there is something greater that we can even imagine. Since, the beginning of our ministry, we have been blessed again and again. God has spared our lives, our homes, our family and even our jobs, through hurricanes snow and ice days. God has shown his glory.
"And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall no more for ever." Exodus 14:13
As Women of God we must continue the work God has given us to do. Keep on keeping on by being more faithful, obedient and submissive to His Word.
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.” Hebrews 13:17
For it is by God’s word that we live and breathe. By doing this we will be a doer of God's word in season and out of season. This will be an inspiration to the people of God. Are you looking for a higher height and deeper depth? Try Jesus as a deliverer, comforter, provider, and healer most of all a friend. Let’s give people hope and determination that there is a better life on this side not forgetting the ultimate goal to live with Jesus for eternity.
Make this year a year of getting closer to God by reading and studying his word. Share what you have learned through your testimony.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16
“For the LORD [is] good; his mercy [is] everlasting; and his truth [endureth] to all generations.” Psalms 100:5
Love to all,
First Lady Audrea Gilbert

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;
not grudgingly, or of necessity: For God loveth a cheerful giver."
2 Corinthians 9:7
Why donate?
We want to be the center of faith and God. A part of a better world. We are welcoming all who wants to take part of the blessing we spread. Our purpose is to implicate the word and influence of God to those who may have lost their way. We aim to shed them the light and guide them to their purpose. This is how we service God and his people. We want you to be part of it.
Want to Get Connected or Need Prayer?
We would love to pray for you at our church. Click on the "Request Prayer" button in the lower right corner of the website if you require urgent prayer.
You have the option of making your request public here so that the greater congregation can pray for you, or you can keep it private so that only our pastoral team knows about it. We hope you will come and worship with us at Simon's Memorial Church if you're looking for a church to call home.
We are delighted and thankful for your support for our church. If you'd like to make a donation, you can click "Donate" on the navigation bar to be redirected to our Givelify page.
We have our live casting available on our GoToMeeting, Youtube and Facebook Page.
